Members of the public are invited to put on their dancing shoes and join the Summit High School Jazz Band for the 40th annual Big Band Dance and dinner at 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 3 at the Grand Summit Hotel.

Father/Daughter Valentine Dance is Feb. 11
The fourth annual Father/Daughter Valentine Dance will be held Feb. 11. The event will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Christian Life Center at First Baptist Church in Hughes Springs. It is sponsored by the Hughes Springs Area Foundation.

Flamenco Festival evokes emotion through dance
The dance and music of flamenco blend together to create a freedom -- freedom to remember, freedom to forget, freedom to be, says North Central College Spanish instructor Jelena Sanchez. The Spanish instructor heads North Central College 's fifth annual Flamenco Festival throughout February, showcasing the emotion-packed rhythmic music and dance of the Spanish culture.
